Being loved by God is about following His commands and performing good deeds.
Being loved by God means adhering to His commands and engaging in good deeds. In the Holy Quran, Surah Al-Imran, verse 31 states: "Say, 'If you (really) love Allah, then follow me; Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.'" This clearly indicates that to be loved by God, one must take the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a role model and follow him. Performing righteous deeds, such as acts of charity, giving alms, and respecting others’ rights are among the ways to draw closer to divine love. Allah mentions in Surah Al-Ma'idah, verse 32: "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely." Therefore, preserving the life and property of others is also a sign of love for God and humanity. Ultimately, patience and perseverance in life's hardships indicate reliance on God and can attract His love. In Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 153, it is revealed: "O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient." Last but not least, maintaining a constant connection with God through prayer and supplication also serves as an opportunity to draw closer to Him and gain His affection.
Say, 'If you love Allah, then follow me; Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.'
Whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely.
O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.
One day, a man named Amir, who was trying to gain God's love, went on a journey. During his trip, he encountered an elderly woman who was in need of help. Without hesitation, Amir assisted her. The elderly woman thanked him and said, 'God loves you.' When Amir heard this, he felt that God's love settled in his heart. He realized that the best way to be beloved by God was through helping others and performing good deeds.
