Strengthening faith is achievable through the remembrance of Allah, prayer, and attending religious gatherings.
Faith is one of the fundamental principles of Islam that requires strengthening and fortification. In the Quran, many ways to strengthen faith are mentioned. One of the most important ways is to remember God and maintain a continual connection with Him. Allah says in Surah Ar-Ra'd, verse 28: 'Only in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.' This verse emphasizes that to strengthen faith, one must remember Allah in all life's circumstances and not forget Him. Furthermore, attendance at scholarly and religious gatherings also aids in strengthening faith. In Surah Al-Imran, verse 100, Allah warns the believers that by obeying the leader and guide of the religion, their faith will be strengthened. Similarly, prayer and repentance are other tools for fortifying faith. Social and charitable activities can also help in reinforcing faith. The Quran states in Surah Al-Maidah, verse 95: 'And cooperate in righteousness and piety.' Ultimately, it is important to note that self-assessment and introspection can have profound effects on a person's spirit. Therefore, every Muslim should strive to strengthen their faith and remember God.
Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured.
O you who have believed, if you obey those who disbelieve, they will turn you back on your heels, and you will become losers.
O you who have believed, eat from the good things which We have provided for you and be grateful to Allah if it is Him that you worship.
One day, a man named Hassan was walking in the market, contemplating his faith. He felt that his faith had weakened. As he turned a corner, he came across a session of one of the great scholars and decided to join. During the lecture, they discussed Quranic verses, and Hassan realized how essential remembering Allah and caring for his heart were. After that day, he dedicated a plan for his days that included prayer, supplication, and charity to those in need; and the result of this change was peace and a rise in his faith.
