Patience is an essential trait of believers in the Quran that strengthens the spirit and will.
In the Holy Quran, patience is recognized as one of the prominent traits of the believers, and its significance is emphasized. In Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 153, Allah commands the believers to seek help through patience and prayer, for He is with the patient. Moreover, in Surah Al-Imran, verse 200, Allah states: "O you who have believed, persevere and endure and remain stationed and fear Allah that you may be successful." These verses indicate that patience is not only a virtue but also a necessity in the life of a believer. Patience in performing tasks allows an individual to approach their goals with more calmness and thoughtful consideration, learning from mistakes and failures. In other words, patience is a power that helps individuals strengthen their will and resolve when facing challenges, ultimately bringing them closer to their ultimate goal. Particularly in today’s world, where pressures and problems may lead to despair, possessing patience can be the key to success. In fact, patience is the soul and essence of faith, serving as a light in the darkness of life. Therefore, the Quran teaches that patience should be an indispensable part of our lives.
O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.
O you who have believed, persevere and endure and remain stationed and fear Allah that you may be successful.
