Why should we always rely on God even in hopelessness?

Relying on God in difficult circumstances brings us peace and reminds us of His constant presence beside us.

Quranic Answer

Relying on God and placing trust in Him is a fundamental principle in Islam, clearly emphasized in the verses of the Quran. In difficult and hopeless situations, remembering that God is always aware of our affairs and that nothing is hidden from Him gives us strength. In Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 286, it states: "Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear." This verse indicates that God knows us and places pressures and tests only to the extent that we can handle. When facing challenges, putting our trust in God can be effective in bringing peace to our hearts. In Surah Al-Imran, verse 139, it is stated: "So do not become weak, nor be sad, and you will be superior if you are true believers." This verse teaches us that even in the hardest moments of life, we should maintain faith and believe in God’s power. Asking for help from God during tough times not only calms us down but also reminds us that we are not alone and that God is always by our side. Ultimately, it is important to understand that relying on God does not imply laziness or submission to problems but rather signifies seeking the paths that God has placed before us and that courage and effort are necessary in this journey.
