How can we be a true waiting person during the occultation?

A true waiter should prepare themselves by strengthening faith, recognizing the signs of appearance, and fulfilling religious obligations.

Quranic Answer

In the Holy Quran, the concept of waiting and being prepared for the appearance of Imam Mahdi (may Allah expedite his reappearance) is clearly articulated. In Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 153, Allah invites the believers to patience and prayer. This invitation is very important because waiting is not merely a matter of sitting idle; rather, it involves creating spiritual and mental readiness. Moreover, in verse 199 of Surah Al-Imran, it states: 'And let them follow you in faith.' Thus, during the period of occultation, we can achieve true waiting by strengthening our faith, increasing our knowledge, and enhancing our understanding of the signs of the appearance. During this time, we must not only fulfill our religious duties but also strive to create the conditions needed for the reappearance of Imam (AS). Additionally, by performing good deeds, assisting others, and maintaining a connection with Allah, we can present ourselves as true waiters. Therefore, a true waiter is someone who focuses on striving with their inner self and fulfilling religious obligations in daily life while also helping others. This journey toward perfection and piety transforms us from mere waiters to pioneers in the emergence of Imam Mahdi (AS).
