God is pleased with His servants when they perform good deeds and show kindness to others.
Understanding whether God is pleased with us is a profound and significant question in the life of every believer. In the Holy Quran, Allah has provided signs for recognizing His satisfaction. One of the most important signs is performing good deeds and kindness towards others. In Surah Al-Imran, verse 133, Allah instructs the believers to strive for forgiveness and a paradise vast as the heavens and the earth, prepared for the righteous. This verse highlights that the pursuit of God's satisfaction through good actions results in His love and approval. Moreover, in Surah Al-Ma'idah, verse 93, it is emphasized that whoever does a good deed will be saved, indicating that these good actions lead to God's satisfaction. Additionally, Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 177, refers to the importance of faith accompanied by righteous deeds, underscoring that true faith is not just belief but must be manifested through actions. Therefore, if one observes that they are blessed with the ability to perform good deeds and help others in their lives, it may serve as a sign of Allah's pleasure. Finally, a sense of inner peace and tranquility in the heart is another sign of God's satisfaction. By increasing gratitude and piety, we can draw closer to His approval.
And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden as wide as the heavens and the earth, prepared for the righteous.
There is no blame upon those who believe and do righteous deeds for what they have eaten, if they have feared Allah and believed.
Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is in one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the Angels, the Book, and the Prophets, and gives his wealth, in spite of his love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; [and who] establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous.
One day, a pious man was sitting by the sea, watching the sunset. He thought of the youth who spend all their time on trivial things. He decided to use his experiences and teach the youth that through good deeds and kindness to each other, they could gain God’s approval. Soon, the youths who knew him came to him, seeking to learn the ways of pleasing God. The pious man happily taught them, seeing God's satisfaction reflected in their eyes.
