To gain God's satisfaction, it is essential to obey Him, perform religious obligations, and be kind to others.
To gain the satisfaction of God, the first and foremost step is to recognize and act upon the principles of this noble religion of Islam. The Holy Quran explicitly commands believers to obey God and draw closer to Him. In Surah Al-Imran, verse 31, Allah says: "Say, 'If you love Allah, follow me, and Allah will love you.'" This indicates that only by following the principles of religion and the behaviors of the Prophet can we attain God's love. Furthermore, performing religious obligations such as prayer, fasting, charity, and other mandatory acts can lead to divine satisfaction. Another way to earn God's pleasure is through compassion and kindness to others. In Surah An-Nisa, verse 36, God advises us to be good to parents, relatives, orphans, and the needy. "And worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him, and to parents, good treatment." Thus, we are commanded to worship only Him and treat our parents with kindness. Ultimately, the most important point is that heartfelt faith and sincerity in acts play a vital role in earning God's satisfaction, as stated in Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 225: "Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear." Therefore, we should consider our capabilities and operate accordingly. In summary, gaining God's satisfaction requires a correct understanding of religion, performing obligations, treating others well, and faithfulness and sincerity in intentions.
Say, 'If you love Allah, then follow me so Allah will love you.'
And worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him, and to parents, good treatment.
Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear.
