The Ahlul Bayt are great role models in life, guiding us towards goodness with their outstanding characteristics.
The Ahlul Bayt of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), with their distinct characteristics and exemplary human traits, illustrate noble ways of life. In the Holy Quran, Allah emphasizes love and respect for the Ahlul Bayt, presenting them as prominent role models. In Surah Al-Ahzab, verse 33, Allah says: 'Indeed, Allah intends to remove from you the impurity, O Ahlul Bayt, and to make pure what is within you.' This verse signifies the moral and spiritual purity of the Ahlul Bayt. They are exemplars of determination, honesty, piety, and love for God. By looking at their lives, we can see life lessons that go beyond merely following a set of obligatory rules. They were committed to the truth and lived by the principles outlined by Allah in the Quran. Their qualities of patience in adversity, compassion for others, and performing good deeds bring vast lessons for us. For instance, the life of Imam Ali (AS) and Fatimah (SA) characterized by selflessness, perseverance, and love for God can guide us on our life path. In essence, by choosing them as our role models, we remind ourselves to continuously improve our morals and actions and to seek the happiness that the Ahlul Bayt exemplify.
Indeed, Allah intends to remove from you the impurity, O Ahlul Bayt, and to make pure what is within you.
Only those believe in Our verses who, when reminded of them, fall down in prostration and exalt Allah with praise, and they are not arrogant.
Your ally is none but Allah and His Messenger and those who have believed - those who establish prayer and pay zakah, and they bow [in worship].
One day, Ali decided to take the behavior and actions of the Ahlul Bayt as his role model. He closely observed the lives of the Imams and saw that even in the most difficult circumstances, they always relied on God and helped others. Ali concluded that by following these examples, his life would change and he would achieve inner peace.
