To be saved from sin, we must fear Allah, be truthful, and avoid sins.
Rescuing oneself from the brink of sin requires a comprehensive understanding of the correct pathways of life and the principle of piety. In the Holy Quran, Allah teaches us how to distance ourselves from sins through piety and sincerity. Surah Al-Imran, verse 102 states, 'O you who have believed, fear Allah and be with those who are true.' This verse reminds us that by avoiding lies and being honest, we can protect ourselves from sins. Additionally, Surah Al-Ma'idah, verse 90 says, 'O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allah], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it.' This divine command clearly shows that we must distance ourselves from things that invite us to sin. Sincere prayer and reliance on Allah is also a factor for salvation. In Surah Ghafir, verse 60, it states, 'And your Lord says, 'Call upon Me; I will respond to you.' So in moments of temptation towards sin, we can draw closer to Allah through sincere prayer and repentance. Finally, staying connected with those committed to the principles of faith can help us avoid sinning and remain on the path of guidance. Therefore, we should learn that instead of facing sins alone, we can benefit from the community of believers and walk towards Allah together.
O you who have believed, fear Allah and be with those who are true.
O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allah], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it.
And your Lord says, 'Call upon Me; I will respond to you.'
