Helping family is emphasized in the Quran and has great rewards.
In the Holy Quran, the significance of kindness towards family and relatives is emphasized multiple times. Allah commands us to treat our parents and relatives with goodness, promising them great rewards for such actions. For instance, in Surah Al-Isra, verse 23, it states, 'And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment…'. This verse clearly underscores the importance of good behavior toward parents, demonstrating that kindness to family not only is obligatory but also a meritorious act with rewards attached. Additionally, in Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 177, doing good for others is introduced as one of the indicators of faith. 'Righteousness is in one's faith includes kindness to orphans, the needy, and relatives.' This indicates that doing good for family and relatives is of special importance in the sight of God and is one of the measures of a person's righteousness. Therefore, helping family and relatives not only fosters peace and affection in life but also brings about substantial divine rewards in this world and the Hereafter.
