Permissible happiness comes from a connection with God and performing good deeds.
Happiness is one of God's great blessings, and the Holy Quran addresses its significance. The verses of the Quran emphasize that to attain true happiness, we must establish a relationship with God and adhere to His commands. In Surah Ar-Ra'd, verse 28, Allah states, 'Indeed, the hearts find peace in the remembrance of Allah.' This verse illustrates that the essence of peace and happiness begins with the connection to God. For permissible happiness, we should enjoy halal sources and refrain from undesirable and unlawful actions. In Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 177, it is stated, 'The best among you are those who do good deeds.' This verse emphasizes that righteous actions and charity lead to happiness and spiritual tranquility. Additionally, in Surah Al-Ma'idah, verse 32, it is said that 'whoever saves a life, it is as though he has saved all of humanity.' Therefore, preserving the lives and properties of others and striving to create a healthy and secure environment also contributes to our halal happiness. Ultimately, performing good deeds, giving charity, and aiding those in need can significantly enhance the true happiness in our lives. Thus, for permissible happiness, we should focus on faith and righteous deeds and keep God in our remembrance.
Indeed, the hearts find peace in the remembrance of Allah.
Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is in one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the Angels, the Book, and the Prophets and gives his wealth, in spite of his love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; and [who] establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who fulfill their promise when they promise] and when they are patient in hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous.
Whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one - it is as if he had saved mankind entirely.
One day, a man walked to the market with a heavy heart. On his way, he met a needy person and decided to help him. He gave him some money and noticed the smile on his face. He felt that this good deed not only changed the life of that person but also brought him joy and peace. He realized that true happiness comes from good deeds and connecting with others.
