Returning to God is a beautiful spiritual experience that everyone may undergo throughout their lives. The Holy Quran teaches us that we should never despair of God's mercy, even if our sins are vast. In Surah Az-Zumar, verse 53, Allah states: 'O My servants who have believed, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins.' This verse provides us with the resolution and motivation to come back to God anytime we feel sinful and seek forgiveness. We can establish a connection with God through sincere repentance and righteous prayers. The emphasis on true repentance and sincerity is visible in Surah Al-Furqan, verse 70: 'Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work.' Thus, it is essential to strive to change our lives after genuine repentance and move towards the right path. Additionally, in Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 186, Allah says: 'And if My servants ask you concerning Me, indeed I am near.' This means God is always accessible to us and responds to our repentance. Therefore, we must return to Him with sincerity and commitment in our hearts, remembering that this return to God is a source of strength and courage that brings us closer to improvement and growth.
O you who have believed, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them are the Gardens of Paradise, wherein they shall not be wronged at all.
And if My servants ask you concerning Me, indeed I am near. I respond to the supplicant when he calls upon Me.
