In the Holy Quran, belittling and scorn towards others is strongly condemned. In Surah Al-Hujurat, verse 11, Allah states: 'O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another people]; perhaps they may be better than them.' This verse illustrates that the one who is belittled may indeed hold a higher status in the eyes of Allah than the one doing the belittling. Humiliating others not only harms the individual's character but also undermines society and creates animosity and hatred. Additionally, in Surah An-Naba, verses 34 and 35, Allah indicates that those who distance themselves from others and humiliate them will be questioned and held accountable on the Day of Judgment. Preventing the belittlement of others and respecting them is, in fact, a form of reverence towards Allah's creation. God has created all humans in the best form, and any form of disrespect towards them not only is wrong but also disregards God's blessings. Therefore, we must always respect each other, support one another, and live together with love. Belittling others is not just an undesirable act; it can also lead to psychological crises in society. Thus, the Quran reminds us to uphold fairness and respect in our interactions with others.
