Why should we share our blessings with others?

We should share our blessings to help others, drawing closer to God and attracting more blessings into our lives.

Quranic Answer

In the Holy Quran, the significance of generosity and helping others is frequently highlighted. One of the main reasons for this is that Allah has instructed His servants to use what they have been given to support others. For instance, in Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 267, Allah says, 'O you who have believed, spend from the best of what you have earned.' This verse emphasizes the importance of giving charity and sharing blessings, marking a path to get closer to Allah through helping others. Furthermore, in Surah Al-Ma'idah, verse 32, it clearly states that saving one life is equivalent to saving all humanity. This implies that extending help and assistance to others fosters a bond of love and unity within the community. On the other hand, sharing our blessings can lead to an increase in those blessings in our own lives. Surah Fatir, verse 29 states that Allah has promised that anyone who spends in His way will receive a reward multiplied many times over. This indicates that by giving from our abundance, we position ourselves within the circle of divine blessings. Ultimately, giving and aiding others is a true indication of faith in Allah and love for His creation. Therefore, we should remember that sharing a portion of our abundance is not just a moral obligation but also a source of blessings and fulfillment in the sight of Allah.
