The Quran points to remembrance of God and prayer as means to maintain peace.
The Holy Quran clearly suggests instilling peace in life. In Surah Al-Sharh, verses 5 and 6 state, 'For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.' This implies that alongside difficulties, there is also ease. These verses remind individuals not to despair even amidst challenges and to remain hopeful for tranquility and relief provided by God. Furthermore, in Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 153, Allah instructs believers to seek help through patience and prayer: 'O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer.' This verse highlights that prayer serves as a tool for peace and closeness to God during tough times. Additionally, Surah Ar-Ra'd, verse 28 mentions: 'Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured.' This teaches us that the remembrance of God brings peace to the hearts. These verses and other teachings in the Quran show us that through connecting with God and strengthening our faith, we can find greater serenity. For instance, in times of stress or worry, through prayer, supplication, and reflection on Quranic verses, one can achieve inner peace and calmness. Therefore, the Quran not only reminds us that we should not lose hope in hardships but also introduces methods to attain true tranquility.
