To be a good friend, you should help one another based on the Quranic verses and maintain unity with each other.

Quranic Answer

Friendship is one of the most valuable human relationships, and the Holy Quran emphasizes the importance of this bond. To be a good friend to others, one must act according to the teachings of the Quran. Surah Al-Hujurat, verse 10 states: 'Indeed, the believers are brothers.' This indicates that in friendships and relationships, the followers of God should act as brothers to each other, supporting one another. Additionally, in Surah Aal-e-Imran, verse 103, we are advised to hold onto unity and friendship: 'And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided.' This verse advises us to stay united and avoid conflicts. Therefore, to become a good friend, engage in empathy, helping and supporting your friends. Feelings of safety and peace in friendships are vital. Friendship is not only about enjoying good times together, but it also requires sacrifice, honesty, and respect. Surah Al-Ma'idah, verse 55 teaches us that believers should consider each other as friends. Ultimately, to be a good friend, one should be present during difficult times and stand by their friends in both joy and sorrow.
