To overcome the fear of death, one should establish a deep connection with God and focus on good deeds and the afterlife.
Fear of death is a subject that many individuals confront throughout their lives. The Holy Quran reminds us that life and death are in the hands of Allah, and no one can delay their fate or escape it. In Surah Al-Imran, verse 185, Allah states: 'Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your full compensation on the Day of Resurrection; whoever is removed from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has truly succeeded.' This verse highlights that death is a natural part of life, and it shouldn't be feared. Additionally, in Surah Al-Mu'minun, verses 99 and 100, it is stated: 'Until, when death comes to one of them, he says, 'My Lord, send me back so that I might work righteousness in that which I left behind.' No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected.' From these verses, we understand that life continues after death, and one should focus on righteous deeds and seeking forgiveness. Therefore, to overcome the fear of death, one should engage in good deeds and cultivate a heartfelt relationship with God. Believing in an afterlife and using this conviction as an opportunity for betterment in both this world and the next can significantly help reduce the fear of death. Thus, nurturing one’s connection with Allah, doing good deeds, and preparing for the afterlife can greatly alleviate death-related fears.

Ali was a young man who always feared death. One day, he was sitting with his friends, talking about life and death. One of his friends said to him, 'Ali, fearing death is like fearing to enter a new and unknown world. If you have a good relationship with God and are filled with hope and faith, you will never fear it.' At that moment, Ali fell into deep thought and decided to overcome his fears by engaging in good deeds and pure intentions. From then on, his life took on a new hue.
