A good friend is there in joy, but a true friend remains during hardships.
Friendship plays a significant role in the lives of believers, as highlighted in the Quran. A good friend is someone who stands by you in times of joy, but a true friend is the one who does not abandon you during challenges and difficulties. In Surah Al-Imran, verse 103, Allah advises believers to pay attention to religious commands and unite with one another to stand against hardships. This indicates the necessity of having a friendship that supports and nurtures during both good and turbulent times. Additionally, in Surah Al-Zalzalah, verse 7, it is mentioned that people will be held accountable for their actions, and in this context, a true friend can guide and encourage one toward righteousness and good deeds. In the Holy Quran, friends are seen as shadows of one another, reflecting the importance of this bond. A genuine friend can enhance your faith and guide you on the right path. Honest and truthful friendships can save you from life's pitfalls, and through love, mutual respect, and understanding, these relationships should be nurtured.
And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together...
So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it.
