Staying up at night helps strengthen the connection with God and brings spiritual peace.
Staying up at night is a valuable and important act of worship that is emphasized in the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Sleeping during the night while remaining awake for worship and prayer contributes to a life filled with peace and blessings. The Holy Quran states in Surah Al-Isra, verse 79: "And during the part of the night, pray with it as additional [worship] for you; it is expected that your Lord will resurrect you to a praised station." This verse highlights the importance of staying awake at night to engage in prayer and supplication. In this verse, Allah commands the Prophet (peace be upon him) to stay awake at night and devote himself to worship, as this act brings one closer to Allah and leads to salvation. Additionally, staying up at night has numerous benefits; one such benefit is the mental and spiritual tranquility that individuals achieve through solitude at night and communicating with Allah. Furthermore, staying awake at night for reciting the Quran and supplication strengthens one's connection with God and significantly aids individuals in achieving their spiritual goals. Additionally, staying up at night can enhance one's understanding of answered prayers and divine pleasure, leading to a more successful life in both this world and the hereafter. Therefore, it is recommended to give more importance to staying up at night and engage in night worship.
And during the part of the night, pray with it as additional [worship] for you; it is expected that your Lord will resurrect you to a praised station.
Once there was a man named Hasan who loved worship and staying up at night. He often spent the nights in remembrance of God and prayer, feeling peace and a closeness to the Divine. One night, while he was in prayer, he heard a sound from afar. Voices echoed through the night, reminding him of the significance of staying up and illuminating his life with the light of faith. From that night on, he decided to dedicate every night to prayer and supplication.
