To control the rebellious soul, it is essential to strengthen the connection with God and remember Him.
In the Holy Quran, the cultivation and control of the soul is a key theme. Allah states in Surah Yusuf, verse 53, "And I do not acquit myself; indeed, the soul is a persistent advocate of evil, except those upon which my Lord has mercy. Indeed, my Lord is Forgiving and Merciful." This indicates that controlling the rebellious soul can only be achieved with God's help. Additionally, in Surah Al-Imran, verse 135, it mentions, "And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves, remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins." This implies that when one commits a misdeed, they should remember Allah and seek His forgiveness. Hence, one of the important ways to control the rebellious soul is to strengthen one’s connection with God and consistently remember Him. Furthermore, the Quran teaches us that we must struggle with ourselves and command ourselves to act justly and distance ourselves from evil. Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 183 states, "O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may attain righteousness." Fasting, as a religious practice, can assist us in controlling the rebellious self and achieving piety. Therefore, mastering the rebellious soul requires continuous effort in strengthening faith, remembering God, and performing righteous deeds.

O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may attain righteousness.
Once upon a time, there was a young man named Adel who struggled to control his rebellious soul. He was constantly battling temptations and desires of his rebellious self. One day, he turned to the words of God in the Quran and decided to focus on prayer and fasting. With effort and patience, he managed to restore peace in his life and felt a greater sense of satisfaction.
