To confront fears, we should trust in God and seek support from others.
Facing fears is one of the significant challenges in life that can greatly affect our quality of life. In the Holy Quran, Allah teaches believers how to overcome their fears and anxieties. One of the key verses in this context is from Surah Al-Imran (Verse 173), which states: 'And do not weaken in seeking the enemy; if you have suffered harm, they have certainly suffered harm similar to it.' This verse reminds believers to maintain their confidence in the face of challenges and fears and to seek help from Allah. Additionally, in Surah Al-Baqarah (Verse 286), it is promised that Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear, which can bring us calm when confronting our fears. In daily life, we can practically face our fears. For example, when talking in public or introducing ourselves to a group terrifies us, we can replace this undesirable habit with positive practices through training and repetition. It is also vital to seek support from those who can assist us in this endeavor. Consulting with individuals who have had similar experiences can be a great method of coping with our fears. In the end, we must remember that fear is a natural emotion, and facing it should be done with patience and calmness.
And do not weaken in seeking the enemy; if you have suffered harm, they have certainly suffered harm similar to it.
Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear.
Once there was a young man named Farzad who had a great fear of facing crowds. He remembered the Quranic verse saying: 'Indeed, Allah is with the patient.' Farzad decided to overcome his fear by relying on God and practicing daily. Gradually, he gained confidence and was able to speak in front of a group. This experience taught him that fear should be faced with faith and effort.
