Hidden sins can also be forgiven through repentance and seeking mercy from Allah.
In the Holy Quran, there are clear references to the forgiveness of sins and repentance. Allah says in Surah Az-Zumar, verse 53: "Say, 'O My servants who have believed, fear your Lord. For those who do good in this world is good, and the earth of Allah is spacious. Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account.'" This verse clearly indicates that all sins, even hidden ones, can be forgiven through sincere repentance. In the Quran, repentance is presented as the key to forgiveness for sins; believers are encouraged to turn to Allah regarding their wrongdoing. Additionally, in Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 222, it states: "Indeed, Allah loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves." This means that individuals who truly acknowledge their sins and feel remorse should come back to Allah and seek His forgiveness. Therefore, sins—even if they remain hidden—can be granted forgiveness through genuine repentance and seeking forgiveness from Allah. It is crucial that a person hastily returns to seek Allah’s mercy and prayer for forgiveness for their wrongdoings. Furthermore, it is essential to remember that we should never despair of Allah's mercy, and we should always remain hopeful for His forgiveness.
